Emily Davisson Makes Wheaton College Dean's List

Emily Davisson of Carpinteria has been honored with placement on the Dean's List at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., for the fall 2011 semester. Davisson, a member of the Class of 2012, is pursuing a major in Psychology.

To earn Dean's List honors, a student must complete at least three graded courses and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

Wheaton is a highly selective liberal arts college located in Norton, Mass., with a 1,650-member student body drawn from 45 states and 70 countries. In the past decade, 139 Wheaton students have won national scholarship awards, including three Rhodes Scholarships as well as Truman, Fulbright, Madison, Watson, British Marshall, Goldwater and Rotary International scholarships. Wheaton is one of only two liberal arts colleges in the country to have produced three Rhodes in that time. The college has been named a Truman Foundation Honor School for its focus on Truman Scholar candidates and students interested in pursuing careers in public service.
